Palmanova — also spelt Palma Nova — lies on a wide, south-facing bay with three sandy beaches — Palmanova, Son Matías and Es Carregador — and a promenade made for evening strolls. The residential market ranges from beachfront apartments and sea-view penthouses to villas in the quieter hillside streets towards Torrenova and Son Caliu.

The bay of Palmanova has three faces. Along the beaches of Palmanova, Son Matías and Es Carregador run first- and second-line apartment complexes, including penthouses whose terraces look straight onto the water. The slopes towards Torrenova offer villas and townhouses with views across the whole bay, noticeably quieter yet only a few minutes' walk from the sand.
Son Caliu at the eastern end of the bay forms the transition to Costa d'en Blanes — with its own small cove, villas and some of the best sea views in the area. New-builds appear here and there; most of the stock dates from various decades.
Palmanova is the place in the southwest where most things can be done on foot: supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and the beach promenade are all close by, and they stay open outside the season. Golf Poniente is a few minutes away, the yachts and restaurants of Puerto Portals around ten, Palma and the airport 20 to 30 minutes by car via the Ma-1.
International schools in the municipality of Calvià are within easy reach. If you would rather combine golf and sailing in a larger town, Santa Ponsa west of the bay is the natural alternative.
Palmanova is a location for buyers who actually use their property: families who want to walk to the beach, second-home owners making frequent short visits thanks to the short run to the airport, and investors who value year-round lettability over seclusion. Within Mallorca's southwest, Palmanova offers one of the broadest spectrums — from a second-line apartment to a villa with a panorama over the bay.
Which streets stay quiet in winter and which become lively in season has a considerable effect on value; we show you the difference on the ground.
Anyone wishing to sell a sea-view apartment or a villa in Palmanova needs an assessment that reflects the position within the bay — beachfront, hillside and Son Caliu achieve very different results. A property valuation by DC Finest gives you a sound basis drawn from comparable transactions, not from asking prices.
Buyers receive our advice on orientation, noise and rental regulations before they commit. Both sides benefit from the fact that we have followed the bay for years and know many properties before they are ever listed.
